The collection features a variety of print-resolution graphics specifically chosen for use with the classic old-style serif typeface known as Garamond.<\/p>\n<p>With its roots in sixteenth-century France, Claude Garamond\u2019s storied typeface has been a staple of French design for centuries. Many new revival faces, including the ubiquitous Monotype Garamond, which often ships with Microsoft Office products, and Adobe Garamond, often used in print publications, have ensured that Garamond continues to be a popular choice for designers and non-designers alike.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large\" src=\"http:\/\/devilsartisan.ca\/images\/garamond\/gmd41_sm.jpg\" alt=\"Garamond Rule\" width=\"480\" height=\"39\" \/><\/p>\n<p>But what to pair with such a vaunted typeface?<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-large\" style=\"float: left; margin-right: 10px;\" src=\"http:\/\/devilsartisan.ca\/images\/garamond\/gmd28_sm.jpg\" alt=\"T\" width=\"121\" height=\"125\" \/>he majority of the ornaments, rules and initials included on the <a href=\"http:\/\/devilsartisan.ca\/dingbats_section_garamond.html\">Garamond Ornaments page<\/a> come from <em>An Exhibit of Garamond Type with Appropriate Ornaments<\/em>, a volume produced in 1927 by the American company Redfield-Kendrick-Odell.
